Your Local Bank
In a time of corporate mergers, it is unique that a bank founded over one hundred years ago is still known by the same name and is still primarily owned by people who live in the area.
The First National Bank of Elmer started in a room of a local barbershop, but soon afterwards opened in the building that still serves as the Main Office at 10 South Main Street.
The bank has now grown to six full service offices spanning Salem, Gloucester and Cumberland Counties. Our headquarters is still in our hometown and we have forged strong relationships in the communities we serve. Decisions can be made quickly by folks who live in and understand our service area.
Many changes have taken place over the years, but we still provide the personal touch, knowing customers by first name, participating in community events, including the Salem County Fair, local parades, and annual celebrations such as Harvest Day, Deerfield Township Day, Elk Township day, and Pittsgrove Day, along with many other community events.
As new programs and technologies have been created, the Bank has adopted and offered them to its customers.
Since the beginning, and after all these years, The First National Bank of Elmer is still “the Bank of Friendly Service”. It’s not just a slogan, but a reflection of the entire banking staff to ensure our Bank meets the needs of the community to the fullest extent.
